This is a big week in the Dixon house as our two young children go back to school. They are on a year-round schedule, one starting kindergarten, the other third grade. Our friends with older kids keep telling us to cherish the moments because before we know it, our kids will be in college.

Junk mail also presents an opportunity for ID thieves to steal important personal information. However, Better Business Bureau explains, there are several steps consumers can take to reduce the amount of unwanted mail and the possibility of identity theft.

Boise, July 31, 2008 - Boise Police have been advised by the Idaho Humane Society that the organization is NOT doing door to door solicitations.
A resident of the Boise Bench, Morris Hill area called the animal shelter Wednesday reporting that a family, what appeared to be two adults and three children, knocked on the residents door saying they were collecting money for the Idaho Humane Society. They requested cash only.

The FBI and its partner, the Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3), have received reports of recent spam e-mails spreading the Storm Worm malicious software, known as malware. These e-mails, which contain the phrase “F.B.I. vs. facebook,” direct e-mail recipients to click on a link to view an article about the FBI and Facebook, a popular social networking website.
